How to make greyscale bases?

1 Feb 2019, 4:10 pm
Since I’m creating a Shifty Paintie and want it to look like an official base, I need to ask how to make a grey scale base? If someone could help me I’d appreciate it.

I’m terrible at shading thougH- ack.

Uh, I am not very familiar with FireAlpaca. Is there an overlay thing you can do?

I think if you set it to a black or grey transparent overlay, or just use a black and white filter, that might work. I'm not familiar with FA

You're welcome! Try that. I'm only familiar with PS. I'm subscribed to the thread, so no need to ping me!

Either go under Filter>Hue and lower the saturation, or put a clipping layer over your base layer, fill it with grey, and set it to blending mode saturation
