Moderation Changes

Our moderation tactics have been changed in response to player feedback. Many of you have come to us with concerns about bullying and attacks in the forums, and our new infraction system is our solution to that problem. From this point forward, moderators will be issuing infractions for behavior that violates our Site Rules, and an accumulation of infraction points will result in impartial site bans.

We need your help here more than ever in reporting behavior that is inconsistent with our rules. We want the game to be fun and relaxing to play, and if you witness any behavior that bullies or attacks another player on the forums, we encourage you to report it. In the past we had a very lenient system of flags and warnings, but our new system will ensure that rule-breaking behavior is swiftly and fairly punished.

Prior behavior has been expunged from every player's record (with the exception of existing bans). If you had a warning or a flag on your account, you are starting clean with a fresh record.

In addition, our rules have been updated with the following changes:

- We no longer forbid discussion of alcohol or drugs on Furvilla. However, players may not encourage or discuss the illegal or underage use of these substances in their discussions. They may also not solicit any drugs or alcohol on Furvilla. We have decided to relax this rule because Furvilla is not a children's website, it is a website that caters to a general furry audience without the sexual content common on furry websites.

- Players are now permitted to have off-topic discussions in the chatrooms.

- Clarifications have been made regarding off-site trade right now during beta, and after beta.

- We do not allow players to post threads stating they want to harm themselves or commit suicide.

- Players may not beg or severely lowball others.

- Players may not be vulgar, overly aggressive or abusive toward staff members in their communications.

In addition, we wanted to share some information about our future plans: we are in the process of implementing two major features, the plush collection feature and the indoor decoration feature. The majority of our focus will be toward these two features as they will both be major sinks for items and currency in the economy. In addition, one of our programmers is working on mini-games, per the suggestion of many players.

We would also like to announce that our official opening date is scheduled for December 1, 2016!

Have a nice day!

    • also, I just realized that there are no sergals???
that's like one of the most popular furry species right next to dutch angel dragons

    • the additions sound awesome! but i have a suggestion. When you collect things as an explorer, you have to click the explore button each time. but what if you added an "expedition" option where it did all of the explorations at once so it takes less time. this would be useful for people (such as myself) with multiple explorer villagers who dont want to spend so much time clicking the same button

    • @arts-waifu Thank you sop very much for answering me, I feel better now lol

I don't believe our accounts are going to be cleaned or wiped, so far only past warnings for bad behavior have been cleared to make room for the new infraction system.

Wiping accounts was a suggestion someone else brought up I think, not anything official. Staff has already stated that accounts won't be erased or wiped when the site opens to the public unless a game-breaking glitch comes around and wiping accounts is the only way to fix the damage.

    • What? you are wiping our accounts clean off!!! I'm really angry about this as I have spent 100's of real life money on this game so far and keep buying all time so that;s really unfair, at least let us keep everything we payed FD for please!!!

    • Oh, cool! The official opening!

    • kyttias I'm sorry but that is the worst idea I've ever seen. People are dropping REAL MONEY into this site and you're suggesting that everything that has been paid for -- the painties, the FD Shop pets, the Gembound potions among other things -- be completely stripped from everyone's accounts so that newbies coming in December won't feel too upset by not having an "evenly levelled playing field"?

      1. That won't solve anything. It'll create resentment among the players, even moreso than there already is. People won't want to trust a BUSINESS that would go back on their word when they say that they won't do any rollbacks unless there's a site/gamebreaking problem.

      2. People have been investing in this site for almost 3 full months now. People have been buying FD with hard-earned cash so everyone else can get the opportunity to keep playing on the site and have been paying for the servers and other expenses a site like this incurs. And by buying FD those who do drop real money into this site are also giving others the opportunity to obtain FD and upload painties and other things.

      3. Beta Testers deserve more credit than what you're implying here. Without US, the players who are using the site during Closed Beta and thus ARE the Beta Testers, this site wouldn't even be ready for opening to the public.

This site already has so many problems with both the playerbase and the staff that resetting everything won't solve anything and you're more likely to cause a riot than solve any problems.

    • The economy should probably be reset. Give users three weeks to use or purge all items and invest in the real money currency. (I'd honestly recommend raising the price of painties at least a bit once the site is open. It'd still be worthwhile.) It'd be wise to rollback profession skills, too. (Heck, if it were my site, I'd even go so far as to break all the houses so a beta player's first priority is to regain access to characters they already had.)

With enough warning, the beta testers won't feel as ripped off -- but at the same time this is to ensure players coming in don't join a devastated economy and their happiness is largely more important than ours. As beta testers, we should understand this. Plus, we got to take advantage of a slow curve where we slowly discovered uses for items and were able to buy them at dirt cheap rates, below the vendor price even, to raise our skills -- something new players won't get to do.

This all becomes a lot more complicated because of the real money currency, the painties, and our attachments to them. I wouldn't mind starting over fresh for the sake of a better future, but it's hard to get everyone to see the importance of it.

    • Generally curious, will furvilla be having an open beta again? Or will furvilla be waiting until December. Just curious, but it seems like the user base has shrunk quite a lot, from 2000 online to 200 online o:
