Kelpie is infected with Lycanthropy. Changes into a beastly monster after exposure to moonlight or especially frustrating board games. Howling at the moon relieves the symptoms for a little while, but use a Golden Apple for best results.

It's unclear whether exposure to the air around Dragonsmaw Manor caused Kelpie's current condition, or perhaps if it was an infectious bite from one of the local animals. But one thing is for sure; going anywhere within her reach is a very bad idea. She bites, kicks ferociously, stabs with her horn, and on at least one occasion has been known to drag another fur into the water to feast upon them, thus prompting her nickname. Even the enchanted harness constructed to restrain her has proven ineffective much of the time.
