29 Aug 2018, 3:46 pm (Edited 17 Jul 2019, 8:02 pm)
Hello and welcome to this guide where I will explain what each variation of the Shifty Morphing Potion does, what effect each of the Magic Heart Gem variations has, what Chibis are, what the varying rarities each Furvilla species and their colors have so you can quickly check which species and colors apply to which rules, and which species have Costume art done for them.

It is recommended that you read the Knowledgebase Article on the Magic Heart Gems and Paintie Rules along with this guide to have a full understanding what the effects and rules are regarding the Shifty Morphing Potions and Magic Heart Gems. If you're looking for grayscale bases to make your painties on you can find them Here. For High Resolution villager art you can find it Here.

Without further ado, lets get right into the content we're all here for!

If there's any questions left after reading this guide and the attached links feel free to ping me or an official Furvilla Helper to help with your question!

The Shifty Morphing Potion allows people to use their creative freedom and create painties that go off of the Furvilla bases as long as they are within the appropriate rules.

The Shifty Morphing Potion has a Shifty Morphing Potion Recipe that can be taught to Alchemists to create your own Shifty Morphing Potions. The recipe can be bought from the Quest Shop. The recipe and potions can also be bought from User Stalls. Another way to get a Shifty villager is by using a Magic Midnight Shifty Plush which can also be bought from the Quest Shop or User Stalls.

Things you're allowed to do on a Shifty:
-Use the base of a Common Furvilla species and alter it to go outside of the base boundaries
-Use parts of a Common Furvilla species
-If a costume is applied, use parts of the appropriate costume
-Use the images of the Galactic and Primordial Shifties as a paintie as long as the image is altered
-Upload a paintie that doesn't match a Furvilla base in any form

Things you're not allowed to do on a Shifty:
-Use the base of a Super Rare Furvilla species
-Use parts of a Super Rare Furvilla species
-Use parts of Limited Color villagers
-Make your paintie look human

The Primordial Shifty Morphing Potion has the same properties as a Shifty Morphing Potion, but allows users to upload painties that resemble or are humans and humanoids without having to worry about making their painties look too human to pass on a normal base or Shifty. They also have a special tag you can filter called Primal for anyone who doesn't wish to see humans or humanoids. This tag can be found and turned on/off in your User Settings.

The Primordial Shifty Morphing Potion can be bought from the FurDollar Emporium for 750 FD or User Stalls.

Things you're allowed to do on a Primordial Shifty:

The Magic Elite Heart Gem allows your villager that has a Limited Color applied to have a paintie that is heavily edited to the point it won't fit the original base anymore. This means you can now mix parts of your Limited Color villager with parts of Common Furvilla species and doesn't have to match the Limited Color base anymore.

To apply this gem to your villager you must first upload your paintie into the queue and send a trade to Admin-Mat with your Magic Elite Heart Gem and a link to the paintie in the queue. Once the paintie is approved Admin-Mat will update the trade with an Elite Heart Gem that you can use as a keepsake item for your villager.

The Magic Elite Heart Gem can be bought from the FurDollar Emporium for 250 FD or User Stalls.

*Note: These rules only apply to villagers who have the appropriate Limited Color applied to them

Things you're allowed to do with a Magic Elite Heart Gem:
-Use the base of a Limited Color Furvilla species and alter it to go outside of the base boundaries
-Upload a paintie that doesn't match a Limited Color base in any form

Things you're not allowed to do with a Magic Elite Heart Gem:
-Use the base of a Super Rare Furvilla species
-Use parts of a Super Rare Furvilla species
-Make your paintie look human
-Use parts of Limited Color bases that don't match with the current Limited Color applied to the villager
-Use costume parts, even if a costume is applied

Once the paintie is approved Admin-Mat will update the trade with a Diamond Heart Gem that you can use as a keepsake item for your villager.

The Magic Diamond Heart Gem can be bought from the FurDollar Emporium for 500 FD or User Stalls.

*Note: These rules only apply to painties that are specifically meant to be of the Gembound species, including the Gembound Chibi color

Things you're allowed to do with a Magic Diamond Heart Gem:
-Do everything that all three Shifty Morphing Potions allow
-Do everything that a Magic Elite Heart Gem allows

Things you're not allowed to do with a Magic Diamond Heart Gem:

29 Aug 2018, 3:59 pm (Edited 17 Jul 2019, 7:34 pm)

Chibis

Chibis, also known as Stickers from the item name, are a special villager coloration that makes your villager Chibi sized and more cartoony looking.

To get a Chibi coloration you need to apply a Magic Chibi Sticker. All Magic Chibi Stickers can be bought from the FurDollar Emporium for 500 FD or User Stalls. With the exception of the Magic Oceanic Gembound Sticker which has to be bought for 2000 FD, and the Magic Primordial Shifty Sticker which has to be bought for 750 FD. Chibi stickers can be found under "Magic [Color] [Species] Sticker" when you look for them in User Stalls.

Chibi painties can only be applied to Chibi villagers and not regular villagers, but regular non-Chibi villager painties can be applied to Chibi villagers. While regular villager painties are allowed to go over festival bases of the regular villagers, regular Chibi painties are not allowed to be uploaded over festival Chibis, as the Chibis are a special color that must be purchased from the FurDollar Emporium. A festival Chibi paintie must always keep most of the festival elements present in their paintie. This is to prevent people from using a loophole to get around buying a Chibi coloration.

It is not possible to use any of the Magic Heart Gems on Chibi painties, with the exception of the Magic Diamond Heart Gem in combination with the Chibi Gembound.

Chibi Shifties will allow you to do all of the things that regular Shifties do with a few extras.

Things you're allowed to do on a Chibi Midnight, Galactic, or Primal Shifty:
-Do everything that a Shifty Morphing Potion, Galactic Shifty Morphing Potion, or Primal Shifty Morphing Potion allows
-Use the base of a Chibi Sticker and alter it to go outside of the base boundaries
-Upload a Festival Chibi paintie on it using the following steps:

To apply the Festival Chibi paintie to your Chibi Shifty villager you must first upload your paintie into the queue and send a trade to Admin-Mat with your respective Magic Festival Chibi Sticker and a link to the paintie in the queue. Once the paintie is approved Admin-Mat will update the trade with a non-magic version of the sticker.

Things you're not allowed to do on a Chibi Midnight, Galactic, or Primal Shifty:
-Everything that a Shifty Morphing Potion, Galactic Shifty Morphing Potion, or Primal Shifty Morphing Potion doesn't allow

Species rarity

This is a quick overview of which species are Common species, which species are Super Rare species, and which species are Special species with additional explanations on how to obtain them and any rules that may be attached.

Common species:
Bat
Bear
Bee
Big Cat
Bovine
Canine
Cat
Chicken
Corvid
Crocodile
Deer
Dragon
Fox
Gecko
Gem Raptor
Gryphon
Horse
Hyena
Lizard
Moth
Mustelid
Owl
Rabbit
Raccoon
Raptor
Red Panda
Rodent
Shark
Souper Star
Skunk
Snake
Velociraptor

Common species can be obtained through Villager Creation. Villager Creation will only offer 3 different colors of the species. The only Common species not available through Villager Creation are the Bee and Gem Raptor. Different colors of a Common species can be obtained through Morphing Potions of the species and through Magical Plush.

A Morphing Potion will allow you to select your wanted color from a drop-down menu and a Magical Plush will already be the color you want it to be. Morphing Potions can be crafted by Alchemists. Different recipes for the Morphing Potions can be found in different Village Shops and through the User Stalls. The Gem Raptor and Shark Morphing Potions are the only Morphing Potions without a recipe as the Morphing Potions are exclusively found through exploration events. To find a Morphing Potion (Recipe) in User Stalls simply search "[Species] Morphing Potion (Recipe)". Keep in mind some names may be outdated and use a different species name, if you can't find the Morphing Potion (Recipe) of the species you're looking for try to search for "Morphing Potion (Recipe)" only.

You can find Magic Plush by completing quests for the Plush Collector, the Plush you get will be random. If you want a specific coloration without going through quests you can find them in User Stalls by searching for "Magic [Color] [Species] Plush". Keep in mind some Plush are also called Magical so if you can't find anything with "Magic [Color] [Species] Plush" try "Magical [Color] [Species] Plush". The Bee, Bovine, and Chicken are the only Common species without non-festival Plush colorations.

The Horse is the only Common species with an alternative way of being obtained which is through the Magic Golden Carrot of Doom Sticker, which was obtainable during the 2018 April Fool's Event and can still be obtained through User Stalls. The Magic Golden Carrot of Doom Sticker Will turn your villager into a random Horse color.

The Souper Star species is the only common species that can't be obtained through a plush or morphing potion and can only be obtained through the Magical Souper Sticker that dropped during the 2019 April Fool's Event and can still be gotten from User Stalls. It is also the only species on Furvilla that only uses an item art asset from the site as their species art. Just like with several other species you can get different art from the Souper Star when you apply a costume to it.

Super Rare species:
Dutch Angel Dragon
Flailadon
Galactic Shifty
Gembound
Leodon
Manokit
Primordial Shifty
Saggitari
Shifty
Snuffle
Wickerbeast

Super Rare species can only be obtained through Morphing Potions or Magical Plush. Different recipes for the Morphing Potions can be found in different Village Shops and through the User Stalls. Magical Plush can be obtained the same way as the Common species Magical Plush. The Flailadon, Galactic Shifty, Leodon, and Primal Shifty Morphing Potions are the only Morphing Potions without a recipe as the Flailadon Morphing Potion is exclusive to the Recycler, the Leodon Morphing Potion is exclusive to the Oceandome Festival shop, and the Galactic Shifty and Primal Shifty are exclusive to the FurDollar Emporium. The Midnight Shifty is the only Shifty color who's Morphing Potion Recipe can be obtained through the Quest Shop. The Flailadon, Galactic Shifty, and Primal Shifty are the only Super Rare species without a non-festival Magical Plush. The non-festival Magical Leodon Plush can only be obtained from the Oceandome Festival shop.

Costumes can be obtained through a Tailor. Costume recipes can be learned from Pattern Books that are gotten from different Village Shops and User Stalls. All Pattern Book recipes require an item that can be obtained through a Crafter. The item recipes can be learned from Blueprints that are gotten from different Village Shops and User Stalls. Costumes can still be applied to villagers that do not have Costume art made for them and can use corresponding Costume parts or a Costume base in painties.

Painties using a Costume base or Costume parts can only be applied if the villager is wearing the corresponding Costume. Parts from different Costumes can not be mixed together in a paintie. Villagers that both are a Limited Color and have a Costume applied to them can not have a paintie that uses the base or parts of the Costume.

Species that have Costume art done for them must have painties that match on the base. Species that do not have Costume art done for them have creative freedom as long as the appropriate Costume base or parts are used.
