No one really knows what Yasu is. They seem to be something foreign and strange; a mutated blob of inky blackness that flows and shifts into something new with each passing moment. There are times when those around them swear that the blob is, in reality, brightly colored and cheerful. Others still simply see them as a terrifying beast that lurks just outside Dragonsmaw. Some have even whispered that Yasu takes on the form of what one fears - or loves - the most.
The truth is something one might never find out. Yasu seems unwilling to talk about who - or what - they truly are and thankfully those closest to them inside the château are willing to let Yasu be... whatever Yasu is.
That alone, at least, is good enough for now.
