John may be the one doctor you never want to see, but xe are also the only doctor you’ll need to see. Although not particularly fond of any pronoun set, John feels a slight connection to xe/xem/xyr.
Grumpy, if not quite mean-spirited, John chose to study medicine when xe became tired of others’ complaints of feeling unwell. John was quick to master Dragon’s Maw Manor, thanks largely to Eldur’s skill in herbology. While this chance to bond has improved John’s opinion of Elder to neutral, they are not the one xe actually get along with. It is Crispello, the soft-spoken and timid hyena who is the only one John actually likes. The reason for their bond is known only to the two of them, although it may have to do with their shared knowledge and love of herbs and their many uses.
John enjoys spending time alone, working on xyr cures, being alone, going on walks with Crispello, and being alone. Asocial and an introvert in all senses of both words, xe took one of Crispello’s Wickerbeast morphing potions in hopes that a more threatening presentation would deter others from approaching. This plan failed, as Wickerbeasts are fairly rare creatures still, and many would approach xyr in hopes of befriending one. As a last-ditch effort, xe befriended a black spider, naming it Eerie after the feeling xe hoped it would invoke on others. This plan worked about as well as the Wickerbeast plan did, but xe decided to keep the spider around. Even if John’s standing position on others is a mix of dislike and distrust, xe would never hurt anyone.
