Wix was born and raised in a conservative household with little regard for magic and other species. In her youth she found herself drawn to certain witchcrafts- not so she could rebel, but simply because they fascinated her completely. She practiced a beast-minding craft as she could, and remained uncaught for nearly two years. However, as all things must come to pass, she was discovered, and her punishment would not be light. She was sent from her home in a fit of fear and fury, and cursed for bringing ill luck upon her kin.
Alone and unsure, Wix caught wind of an expedition to untraveled depths taking place in an odd and tainted area within Oceandome's providence. With that in mind, she made up her mind: she would join these foolish folk, and perhaps find a place for herself among them. What else did she have, really?
