Ireste is known as many things: a timeless legend, a universal inspiration to all immortals, and a fierce conqueror unmatched by any other. No one can ever forget the power and beauty in their voice, the songs that fell so eloquently from their lips onto the ears of unsuspecting victims. Their songs - infused with the love of their ancestor Death - killed many creatures with ease.
Their desire to conquer all led them to the Universe itself, but their song could not be heard by that which could not hear to begin with. And so, with all of their kin, they were swallowed up by the void...at least, so the story goes.
