"CAN HALP?"
Freckles is a kindhearted and helpful phibble that is apprentice to Robyn, the nurse. He seems pretty energetic for his species, which are known to be docile and lazy, but in truth for every couple of hours that he's awake he spends several hours dozing. He softly hums when he's doing nothing or performing basic tasks such as fetching things for Robyn. He is very easily distracted but not easily frustrated or discouraged; in fact, you could directly insult him and he would just stare blankly with a smile on his sweet squishy face. Robyn finds it quite trying to teach him at times, especially as he is actually not as simple as he looks. He makes the connection between objects and words rather quickly with practice; it's just refining his understanding of the word that's difficult!

Hullaw
Said in greeting, but sometimes also as goodbye so we don't think he's quite grasped the use of the word "hello" yet.
Halp / can halp
He says this when asking permission to help, and when he's doing his job well, as if he's goading himself on or reassuring the patient.
Fix / can fix
See "halp". He also calls bandages, plasters and other dressings "fixes."
Medsen
Medicine. He calls any pill, tablet and liquid excluding water "medsen," however. Robyn is trying to discourage this because some liquids in the clinic can be harmful.
Senj
Syringe. Not sure if this word is used only to address his own syringe or all syringes.

Self-explainatory. Robyn does teach him good manners!

He says this when he does something wrong so we assume that he's mimicking "oops."

His other vocalisations range from soft, kitten-like mewls to short excitable chirps. He has also managed to learn Robyn's name, though he tends to just make a child-like "hhn!" sound when he requires her attention. He still struggles to pronounce his own name, but he's learning new things every day and he's always trying his very best!
