Lothos was, a long time ago, Irthos' rival, so to speak, because Irthos never knew that.
They share the same father, yet different mothers, so while Irthos was raised with love and affection, his was a single mom, barely scraping by. He was taught that in this world, if you want to survive and eat for another day, it's to kill or be killed. Such hatred towards his absent father led him to become a beast, much like the ones he killed in order to become strong.
But when he finally went out to destroy Irthos' happiness... he welcomed him with open arms, a big cozy house, enough cash for a month and a big farm, with doges and unicorns roaming untamed.
So, he thought, vengeance will have to wait.
