Once again nothing but fluff and cloth
Sitting here while my body turns rotten
Only good as a home for moths
There was a time when my eyes were bright
When my claws were sharp as blades
And I stalked the night
Despite being of fabric made
A time when I was always at play
With the child that gave me my name
How I long for those days
But it seems she gave up her games
Then a spark lights up inside my heart
And I feel my spirit soar
I was wrong – though long apart
The child wanted me once more
But my body had been stolen away
Hidden where she would never know
So she called my spirit back to play
Which just goes to show
Some things cannot be taken
So long as you have the key
And you remember to awaken
