While Jupiter is considered the highest power of all beings, by all beings, she is not perfect. Despite her ability to create life, she cannot change it, and therefore has no power over who does what. On occasion, mortal events cause Jupiter to grow very morose, and her ability to create beings is hindered by this. This period of time is called The Rest. When The Rest is occurring, no new creatures are made. At this time, many mortals give tokens of gratitude to the Creator in hopes of restoring her power and brightening her mood. Although this is rare, The Rest is a very sentimental, quiet time for the majority of the universe's inhabitants.
