It's been many years since I lost you but I'll never forget you. I'll always miss seeing you wait for me by the end of the driveway for my returns from school; and the way you used to always cuddle with me and sleep on my tummy.
You were my first pet and I'm thankful that you were the first to show me the love that an animal can bring that no human could ever hope to match. I know even in passing you will continue to watch over me, my sweet little guardian angel.
Thank you again, and rest well my darling. May our spirits meet again.
