Avery Smith - the Fallen Warrior - was once the captain of the Fairy Queen's army. He was known for his unique magic, calculated attacks, and the bane of existence to the Demon King and his army. However, in a particularly bad battle between the two armies, where the Demon King revealed himself for the first time - despite his presence having already been known - he was given the task to protect the remaining Fairy Queen's son.
While battling, he was driven into conflict when his husband was being attacked, and the son gave him permission to go protect him. In the end, both ended up dying, and in a blind rage, the Fairy Queen outcast him. Stripped him of any power he had gained.
The Demon King, however, knew very well of this and wished to take advantage, spending millennia trying to find the hidden warrior, but alas, he remained hidden for many years. But he hopes to one day resurface, and join the battle once more.

Many centuries passed since he had Fallen, and he had been hunted down. In a battle with the Demon King's general, he lost a wing. Believed to have been dead, the general left him. However, he was rescued by Prince Cain, and brought to a place he came to consider home, the Cursed Castle.
He's been living there nearly a year, and has become quite close to everyone - especially Glaedr and Iapetus - however, him and Prince Cain are still on quite tense terms, and he can't really see why.
