Prince Cain grew up a normal life. Well, as normal as one could be as royalty, anyway. His parents - the Queen and King of their small kingdom, not widely recognized in the vast world of Arkaria - died when the man was only 17, causing him to have become King as quite a young age - though he prefers Prince Cain due to the fact he he felt he couldn't take the title from his father.
When the man turned 21, disaster struck his kingdom. His kingdom had entered one of the paths of destruction of the Demon King, and while small compared to the big picture, his army fought.
Instead of being slaughtered, one of the Dark Mages placed a curse on the castle. They would be stuck as creatures, and outside the boundaries of the castle, would be unable to communicate with anyone, for they could not see the castle, and if they strayed too far from the castle, unable to speak outside the castle boundaries, and it was rumored one would become dust. Therefore there was a limit on who would venture past, and how far in order not to risk the life of any being.
The town itself had simply vanished, not a ruin in sight, just... Gone.
Instead of living the span of a normal human, these creatures lived for hundreds of years, some much longer than others, and it has been said the castle has been hidden for almost 1500 years now. Numbers have yet to dwindle, though it has been proven that producing was not working, for nobody had been able to give birth since the curse began.
While Cain was on patrol, the Prince had spotted a dragon and a man with wings battling. However, he watched as the man fell to the ground, and the dragon fly away, assuming death. He rescued this man, however, something about him makes him uneasy. For he will not share his past with those of the Cursed Castle, and what good did secrets do?
