As a young girl, Victoria had heard tales of Arkaria. Mysterious stories of the Fountain of Eternity, which granted eternal youth and life to those who drank from it. However, only those pure enough were able to drink from it, and gained powers beyond imagination.
As a young woman, she was influenced by these tales, and did heavy research and traveling. She was told she would never be able to find it, it was just a legend! Until she met Nathaniel, who believed the stories as well.
The two set off on a journey, and indeed, they found the fountain after many years, now nearing their mid-thirties, 15 years. The were devoted, for they wanted to rid Arkaria of its darkness, and purify it. And the Eternal Guard was able to see into them, and found they were pure. And allowed them to drink.
Thus, they became the Fairy Queen and King.
The Queen and King's first action was to find those who also believed the legend, for it had not been known yet that the fountain was found, and they wanted to find those with the purest intentions to work alongside them. And they found only two. Avery Smith and Quinn Moore. Avery became the captain of the army, and his soon-to-be husband became an ambassador of sorts, as well as someone who ventured the land with Avery in search of finding an army.
Many centuries the King and Queen gave birth to two sons, Cody and Seth. The two loved them dearly, though they sensed the struggle between the two siblings in their later years, but, alas, it was too late when Cody, just having had his drink from the Fountain upon reaching age, vanished.
Struck by grief of their missing son, the Fairy King and Queen formed a search party, in which the King himself attended. The search party went missing, and 100 years after their departure, their bodies had been discovered. It was terrifying to say the least, and now the Queen mourned the lost of her husband and son. However, she led on, knowing she couldn't let grief get the better of her.
Centuries later, Seth worked under Captain Avery, and the Queen knew very well there was no other warrior great enough to teach her son.
Rumors had been spreading of a king, rising among the darkness, and an attack launched on the Fairy Kingdom was proof. A corrupted man, more beast than human, at the least. Avery was given the task of protecting Seth, and Victoria trusted him with her son's life. However, as the battle raged on, and it came to end, she learned that she had been wrong.
In a fit of rage and fury upon losing everyone she had ever come to love and care for deeply, she used magic to restrict Avery's powers, causing him to lose most of the effects he had gained when drinking from the fountain, and exiling him.
And, once again, though ridden with grief, she continued to rule her kingdom. For she couldn't be a weak ruler.
