Crystal Pony
A quartz based crystal pony, Aurora's mane shimmers with iridescence. She is a strong hearted, brave, passionate pony who isn't afraid to stand up to others. She led the first civilian rebellion against King Sombra during his reign of terror and slavery.
Despite being a mare, Aurora Quartz is part of the Crystal Empire Royal Guard. She is in charge of patrols on the south perimeter.
She wears a gold wire in her mane, wrapped around her larger braid.

Oh, that could be cool. I'll have to mess around with that idea. Maybe a bright icy blue, or a lime green that almost seems to glow.
I would probably say it was Zecora, I'm partial to zebras, lol. I like though thought that she can only gain so much of it back, not all of it. that would be an alicorn magic thing. Maybe she has to give something else up to finally be able to see.
Ive been leaning more towards that too. I really have a thing for black and white anything and everything. Ive been looking to add to her design a little bit too. Add a tiny bit more personality. Like maybe a few scars from cuts and burns when she was still an apprentice.
Steel Vision is an actual Crystal Pony. Her magic isnt very strong, its only good for picking up and moving things, which is how she works as a blacksmith, and it lets her 'feel' the world around her kinda. I thought having those handicaps might make up for the oddness of her being a native crystal unicorn. I'm still fiddling with how i want her 'sight' to really be. Either 'feel' the world, only see faint blurs of colors, I have thought of giving her sight back but making her completely color blind., only see in shades of grey. Any thoughts?
