About
Walking along the paths leading between the village igloos, you hear an excessive amount of bird noises and other animals. Following the direction of the noises, you come upon a large yard filled with pens and cages made out of wood. Some cages are empty, nets of all different kind laying on them while couple have some kind of a critter inside of them. You begin to hear a bright, feminine voice, followed by a quite nasty sounding screech of a bird. You sneak past the cages and see a black'n white Husky, trying to negotiate with a decently large, white bird. After you carefully try to gather the Husky's attention, the bird flaps and the Husky turns around sighing.
Marylin: "Oh, welcome! I'm sorry, I didn't notice you. Trying to make a mence with Racket is beginning to drive me insane. I can hardly remember some stuff now when I've started to tame him, with no obvious luck. But nevermind the stubborn bird for now, nice to meet you!"
Marylin shakes your hand and seems to be relieved to have someone to talk to amongst working with the animals.
Marylin: "I am Marylin. The animal keeper and tamer of this cozy little village. The arctic wildlife is quite difficult with its few animals, but once you get to come in contact with some, they are like rare gems of their own. Such beautiful, fluffy and friendly creatures. But I admit, they tend to have very strong opinions of their own. Racket here is the worst by far."
You look at the bird, sulking on its perch and assure Marylin that she will eventually succeed in taming him, with patience required of course.
Marylin: "Thank you, I have patience but I do admit, I often begin to doubt if i have any. Animal husbandry is not easy but it pays off. ... Oh, speaking of paying, I forgot to pay Hannah, our village doctor, for providing me with some salve to tend to all the scratches the animals put on me. If you wish, you can look at the animals before you go. I need to hurry. It was nice meeting you! I often forget how special it is to talk with others than with animals. People are quite exciting in their own way, after all. *coughs nervously* Enjoy your stay in our village!
Marylin waves happily to you before rushing off, leaving you to admire the snow bright rabbits in their pen.
