The tall one
Causticatte, while somewhat unsettling in appearance, Is a friendly neighborhood... teen?... Who helps old ladies across the street and tutors the little girl down the block who's having trouble in math. People often find him creepy at first, because they usually see his glowing skeletal face long before they hear him, but he somehow has the charisma to be trusted despite how he's given no reason to be. People just like him, even without the face that he seldom wears; It comes off like a mask, and though he can put it on with ease, he chooses to go without. He uses the magic orbs he creates as eyes for facial expression, and although eating with no cheeks or tongue is difficult, he can also create a tongue as well when he needs it. He rarely does this, however, as he salivates an extremely caustic, syrupy bluish fluid that can burn through a coat, a shirt or a fair amount of fur or flesh with ease. This is supposedly where he got his name.
Supposedly, a neighboring town is home to another like him; A female hyena with a pale green skull and eyes oddly similar to his own. Although they've never been seen together, people often whisper that they do meet often at a small cemetery between the two towns... but that's a fairly silly rumor to be telling about your own neighbor.
Nature
Causticatte is generally very quiet. He seldom speaks to people he doesn't know, although he usually accompanies someone who will speak loudly in his stead. He instead speaks mostly in actions, having incredibly quick reflexes, and will generally do anything to keep others around him safe. Children love him, as he also will do anything to cheer up an upset child; he uses his magic more than he uses his voice, and is far better at entertaining than any clown. However, Causticatte does speak, usually when asked a question or when he has something important to say. He has a very smooth, gentle voice, like his personality, but anyone who hears it will notice that he has a certain edge of something when he speaks... is it malice? Sarcasm? It's not obvious enough to tell, but it's certainly there.
Despite his gentle appearance and good reputation, people are still quite cautious around him; everyone knows that their friendly neighborhood skeleton isn't all there. At least, that's how he appears to them... what they observe isn't a loss of sanity, but the side effects of his state; somewhat still living, but mostly an angry spirit. He behaves oddly at times, often seemingly teleporting when nobody is looking, or staring motionlessly with empty eye sockets at people who've garnered his suspicion. He will twitch occasionally, in an almost glitchy motion, or start emitting a sound like loud television static for seemingly no reason. The most obvious thing, however, is how he responds to threats... those who threaten him meet near-instant death, either from his claws or teeth, and those who have made only minor sleights against him are instead only met with deep wounds and agonizing acid burns. He's known for his tendency to hang out at parks with children, watching as if he knows they are in danger... people in his town never hear of child kidnappings anymore, as the perpetrators are too afraid of facing Causticatte to try.
Past
Causticatte, or Gio Magico as was his given name, was the son of a very powerful magician, Giovanni Magico. He had not yet learned any magic himself, but he travelled with his father from when he was four years old in a covered wagon. When he was ten, he made his first friend, a hyena cub named Chamomile who wanted to learn magic. Giovanni took her in and taught the two of them as much magic as he could; One night after he had no more to teach them, Chamomile told Gio that she planned to return home. Gio - having lived in a wagon all ten years of his life that never stayed anywhere for more than one day - wanted to come with her, as she was his only friend. Giovanni refused to let them leave, but he didn't outright forbid them, or even tell them that he knew of their plans; instead, he used his magic to turn their faces into masks and keep them where the cubs couldn't get them, so they had no choice but to stay. However, they still planned to escape. On the night of a performance in Chamomile's own hometown, they interrupted their show to give a true display of what they were capable of; Despite being much younger, the two had gained incredible magic power, and were able to defeat Giovanni and regain possession of their faces. Giovanni was arrested for kidnapping and Gio and Chamomile returned to Chamomile's home, where they lived a relatively normal life.
However, Being not only a true magician but a street magician as well, Giovanni escaped from prison after a good few years. He quickly came to regret this decision, however, as Chamomile and Gio were no longer the same cubs he had taught and sought to control; When he took their faces, he had turned them into creatures both alive and dead, living flesh and blood around angry spirits thirsty for revenge. This is not a metaphor. Giovanni did not survive the night of his escape, as the two quickly learned of his escape and went to exact their long-awaited revenge... Although nobody in their small town knew what had happened, they did find it a bit odd that Chamomile and Gio gave up their signature magic colors, pink and green respectively, and proudly wore the vivid blue of Giovanni's magic in their eyes after his disappearance.

looks amazing! :3
