Moonheart was born during the longest night of the worst winter in living memory. He has a special bond with the tides and lunar cycles, and prefers to fly by night. In fact, his special skill is navigating in low light to complete darkness.
He is a rather quiet pony with a penchant for unrequited love (the moment the object of his affections notices him and shows any interest he's pretty much over it) and a knack for writing truly awful poetry. He secretly revels in melodrama and is the sort of individual who will sadly walk away from a group of friends just so someone will follow him and make efforts to cheer him up and tell him how special and unique he is. He doesn't feel satisfied unless his heart gets broken at least once a season.
But despite his more annoying qualities, Moonheart is a steadfast and loyal friend with a surprisingly amusing sense of humor when he drops his pretenses and just lets his own light shine.
