About
The best way to describe Edgar would be to say that he was talkative, and then allow whoever is having Edgar described to them actually meet him, so that they will know the true extent of his talkativeness.
--
Edgar, despite his loud nature, is mysterious, even to himself. Why did he invite himself into Blue's home and family after only seeing her once? Who knows (certainly not him).
--
Talking to Blue is fun for him. Blue is always up for talking to him, and Blue alone can match his energy. They could talk for hours about the most menial of things, but Edgar would still enjoy it immensely.
Castle is hardly any fun to talk to; for some reason, he prefers that Edgar speak very little, instead of all the time, always, as much as he can, forever, which is something Edgar simply cannot do. Since Castle dislikes Edgar, Edgar in turn dislikes Castle, but feels that if the horse would lighten up a little, he would be much more fun to be around.
Edgar and Icarus talk a lot together! If Icarus ever wants a change of pace, he will go to Icarus. They like to talk about journaling together. Icarus likes to show Edgar his every day journal, and even lets him read it, so Edgar knows a lot about him (perhaps more than anybody else, even Icarus himself?). Edgar, in turn, likes to show his dream journal to Icarus, because he feels that Icarus can truly appreciate it. Icarus, unfortunately, does not know how to read. This is a fact that he does not realize; he has never needed to learn how to read, and when he looks at the written word, he sees something completely different than what is there. Slowly, Edgar plans to teach Icarus how to read, so that they can truly compare journals.
Edgar could care very slightly less about Siren if he so chose. He does not mind her, because she is the friend of Blue, and Blue is his very dear friend, but Siren is such a dull conversational partner, that he prefers spending time with people he can actually have fun with. It may not be her fault that she can't talk, but he does not believe it to be his fault if he does not want to spend any time with her because of it.
Edgar thinks that Oswald always appears a bit dull and boring, so their conversations always reflect that. Although they do talk every now and again, Edgar doesn't really care for the conversations, or the donkey, very much.
--
Simple is simple. Simple is fun to be around, because simple will squawk at absolutely everything Edgar says, since Simple does not know any better. Sometimes it gets a bit annoying, having a squawking bird right next to the ear, but what can you do? It's not like Edgar has ever been that way, not once, especially not towards his friends.
