When they first came into existence, their creation the result of a giant sandstorm killing a large caravan of travellers, the yet-nameless Horus fed on sand and sandstone, and whatever creatures they could manage to catch, body soon taking on the appearance of some manner of sand-beast. While exploring, they eventually found a few small human villages, the inhabitants fearful at first, but as they brought people goods and led travellers to places with life and water, soon they had explored enough to find many villages, and then cities, interacting with the ancient Egyptian civilization, and becoming thought of as an emissary of the Gods. Eventually their appearance took on that of one of the Deities, as they spent more time living with the Egyptian humans, and receiving offerings. Their life was rich and after many, many years, they began spending less time travelling, and more time at a few particular cities, and took on the role of being a companion to Royals, though Horus still could be found protecting and escorting wanderers and travellers between the cities and villages. Even though times have past, this noble individual is still guarding the tombs and ruined cities of those they once accompanied. The stone on their pendant is Turquoise, given to them by the humans they protected.
