Dead flowers strewn in random places, from daffodils to roses, accompanied by the steadily fading stench of asphodel... If you can spot deep cuts in nearby wood or similar destructible material, you can be sure that a monster isn't far. Local folklore doesn't maintain that the beast is hostile. In fact, it is believed to be quite elusive and unlikely to do harm unprovoked. There are some who would have you believe that it is also a guardian of stillness and quintessence, and will target those who are disruptive in nature. Clans who told this story to their children, to make sure they were quiet when hunting or foraging in the woods, would leave offerings of animal bone and strongly scented flora strung from tree branches to the beast.
