About
Rot
Masked Beast
Formerly Bat-Eared Fox
Unspecified gender, though I often use male pronouns for him
Before his encounter with Gone, the being able to turn other creatures into Masked Beasts such as itself, Rot was just your average bat-eared fox with just one problem stopping him from being 'normal'. Despite his happy appearance and carefree attitude, Rot often had trouble actually feeling happy, and struggled with depression for many years before his meeting with Gone.
And upon such meeting, Rot had asked the being if it could stop him from being sad all the time. And, with that, it was done. Rot was given his mask shortly after and, upon gazing into the nearest body of water, the image on the face made him giggle. That sad, sad look that he often felt he couldn't show was now on full display to the world. Despite this, though, he didn't feel sad anymore. In fact, he couldn't feel anything at all.
No fear or confusion overcame him as he turned those black holes in the mask towards Gone once more, who just smiled down at him.
"You didn't want to be sad anymore, right?"
And with that, the being was gone and Rot trotted away to cause mischief without remorse.
