Villager: Persephone

Persephone shifted on her cloud to get a better look at the ground below. The sprawling city didn’t notice the dreamweaver watching them. She watched as the cars and buses swarmed over the earth. How long had it been since your only choice for going somewhere was by horse or by foot? A century? A millennia? Persephone supposed it didn’t matter. She pushed herself along to Ragol. Soulbearers milled about beneath her, and Persephone frowned at the traces of corruption that were visible. She watched them for a time, then left to go watch another civilization. She moved along and watched a couple more of her creations going about their daily lives before she guided her cloud into a slightly warmer air current and let herself drift into sleep. She dreamt of her old life as the wife of Hades. She dreamt that she could hear the sounds of the dead, and she woke with a start. She quickly calmed when she saw the crystalline blue of the sky above her and the deep sapphire depth of the ocean below her. She slept once again, and dreamt of civilizations she had yet to create. When she awoke again she found herself over a new civilization, and Persephone shifted to get a better view. She chuckled to herself as a small band of young humans began to play some sort of game. New civilizations could wait for another day, for now she was content with watching the ones that already existed, although she did think it would be interesting to put two species together in a civilization and see how it worked out.
