Mari is the third elder of the Ziv Clan, and actually the oldest.
Mari used to be a member of the Attor Clan which thrived on Agony. After the Unification of Clans that formed the Ziv Clan, Mari had a hard time adjusting and took his anger out on the helpless.
Being hunted for his crimes, Ziv summoned the young 'Cubi and reprimanded him. Mari lacked much respect for Ziv and didn't want to listen until the enigmatic leader decided to play on Mari's competitive nature. Ziv dared Mari to change from a murder to a healer, and if he could become an expert in these arts, he may take over the clan.
Ziv disappeared before the promise could be fulfilled, but Mari continued his studies anyways. He's now an Adventurer, joining parties as a healer.
