Mary-Sue, formerly a griffon...
...Isn't really a typical Mary Sue at all.
Sure - as a young griffon, she was intelligent, social, and aced school with flying grades. And - as she grew into her teenage years - she also became a beautiful young lady. The girl was every parent's dream child, and she tried to be kind any moment she could.
But the growing beauty of her adolescent years was not without its price.
As she grew, Mary-Sue noticed that the numbers of unwanted lovers was beginning to increase to the point that she was unable to sit in solitude at lunch, even when she made it clear she had no desire for all of this attention. She would become the victim of cat-calling and harassment, in addition to many attempting to follow her as she walked home. Her personality did not go unaffected; in fact, these events caused her to become more of a seclusive introvert rather than a happily social extrovert, with the additional bonus of Mary-Sue becoming somewhat paranoid (she was sure she was being stalked) and distrustful of other people. Eventually, her parents decided to homeschool her right up to college, taking a college program for her when the time came. She managed to pass said college program and left home with some money to help her move along in her new life.
It was only after leaving home that she met Gary-Stu at a cafe. They talked, finding out they were suffering similar problems in their life. With this insight into each other's past, they became friends and decided to walk down the rocky road of life together.
Mary-Sue, now a big cat, is a former explorer-turned-warrior. She has recieved some snarky comments while she was out shopping at Aquatic Assailants, which were mostly about how she was too hot to be shopping there. Oh, you silly people. You'll regret those words one day.
