Full Name: Iris E. Bourgeois
Name Inspiration: I wanted Iris to be named after a flower. I was originally going to name her Zinnia, but I decided to reserve that for a different character. Aster was another name I considered, but it didn't work. However, it worked out, as Iris means "rainbow," and I'm hoping to give her her own Rainbow Peep as a pet and gardening assistant.
Character Inspiration: Once I hit 10 villagers, I decided it would be best for me to get into the medicine/potion market, and for that, I needed more Herbalists. Basil's role stayed the same, but once I get more hands on deck, they'll become a full-time Tailor with the help of their brother. Back to Iris, though, I needed someone to do the drudge-work of harvesting exclusively TEP plants, so that's where Iris comes in. Once I saw that Poodles were released, I thought she'd make a great town-gossiper, as some of the village's most interesting members need her materials. Poodles are actually quite aggressive by nature, but I decided it would be a lot more amusing for her to take the more passive-aggressive approach, sipping tea as she watches the discourse from a distance...
