In Lumi's world, the first female royalty born in each family is born with special markings and powers. For some reason, for the first time, this power awoke in a male. Instead of telling the country, it was decided they they would hide the fact that their princess was male..and carry on, so they don't upset the populace. Only his maids, bodyguard, and a select few know his secret.
Also in this world, certain species are used just for fighting in public areas. Water buffalo are one. As a child, Lumi goes to see one of these fights. And decides he wants to take one home, to be his bodguard. Doson becomes his most trusted friend.

Wait till he's old enough and starts to be pushed to have an heir. o.o
