About
It was all hell. The poor caribou fawn was separated from her own family… her own safety. Even worse: she was near death. Predators struck, and are still striking. Being injured, and alone, was the most dreadful feeling of all. She wanders the meadowlands, hoping to seek some relief. Suddenly, looking at a patch of special herbs, she shakes her head, in disbelief.
Yet, when she reopened her eyes, they were still there. There, and real. Walking closer, and closer, she saw her lifeline. Being an advanced herbalist, and biologist, she quickly, yet carefully, had wrapped her wounds up in half of the harvest, and saved the other, for a storage of food. She walks that boulevard of broken dreams, still in dismay of the loss of her own flesh, and blood, but she is better. Better than before, at least.
That, was years ago. Now, being fully grown, the hind wanders many, many vast lands, now in her best peak of condition, and health. Growing more fond of herbalism, she'd decided to partially use her skills, whilst wandering, wanting to appease her excitement, and dreams, of helping others in need.
Grinning widely, as she tends to the last injured reindeer buck, she would resume her journey, the next dawn. Bright, and early, as always. For now, with the resources of the herd, that the leading buck provides, and thanks her with, she resumes her break, a good night’s sleep, and a well-balanced meal. Her broken dreams became her reality, transformed into the dreams she'd always wanted to accomplish.
And, she's getting there. Slowly, but surely

Fear. Confusion.
Panic spread across Sika's body; her herd was no longer in sight. Her shouts remained unanswered, lost upon ignorant ears. She was truly alone, away from her loving mother, separated from the safeness of a herd. She wandered tirelessly, hour upon hour spent searching endlessly for her lost mother. All of her energy was slowly sapped away from her gruelling efforts, leaving her weak and desperate. As a last, and final attempt, she plucked a greenish herb from the undergrowth. Her mother had taught her how to make tea from what you could find; and she did just that, adding her own ingredients to it as she went along. Sika could not boil the water, as she could not make fire, however she didn't have time to be picky. Downing the drink, she immediately felt revitalised, thankful that the herbs had healed her. Sika realised that herbology was her true calling; she immediately knew that she could help others benefit from these plants.
Since then, she has lived the nomadic life, passing from herd to herd and sharing her herbal remedies with the world. Of course, she has to have plenty of plants on hand, therefore Sika grows a plethora of herbs on her antlers; which are pretty as well as practical.

Sika was a caribou who never wanted to be alone. She traveled with a fairly large herd, and became friends with all of them. The herd was small enough for everyone to know each other, so no one was a stranger. One day, they were traveling through a forest that had thick underbrush, which made it easy for anyone to get lost if they hadn't gone through the forest many times before and memorized its passages. When Sika was rushing to get through the forest, she got separated from her herd, and couldn't find them. They had went on without her! She was scared, and hungry, and alone.
She decided to stay in that forest a while, thinking that the herd would come back for her. They never did. She waited, and waited, neglecting to eat, sleep, and anything that was important. She was close to to death, when she finally accepted that they had forgotten about her. She frantically realized that she was starving, and sick! She remembered something her mother had taught her years ago, about herbs. The memory disappeared, but she knew what she needed to do.
She became very skillful with herbs. She healed herself, and them started traveling around, helping anyone who needed healing. Once, she got a string of herbs stuck in one of her antlers, but she decided that she liked doing that, and left them there. Now she's known throughout the land, but her herd still never came back for her. She doesn't need them anymore, though.
