Villager: Dyarisse

Dyarisse came to Drakel Road because sha had nowhere else to go. She had been chosen to represent her family in divine giving, but somehow the ritual went wrong. She doesn't quite remember what happened- perhaps she panicked, or the ritual leader was inexperienced- but for whatever reason, she paid a much more intimate tribute to the deities than she'd intended. Rather than give her life in service symbolically, by maintaining holy sites or offering seasonal tribute skimmed from her work, she had offered her body as a vessel to her gods. And the gods were flattered, and accepted this gift.

Dyarisse still holds a share in their body, but only some. The gods can take control whenever they please, and because of this Dyarisse cannot live most places. She cannot keep a job, since most of the gods have no interest in fulfilling her mortal obligations when they're present. Some were outright dangerous, though those were usually kept in check by the others. She figured she'd just find someplace lowkey to stay. She was thrilled to learn that Drakel Road was entirely willing to take in an unreliable tenant, so off she goes.
