Katrice is the sibling-figure of Sabine, found often frequenting their sibling's little shop and staying at his home at night to rest. While few people know them very well, Katrice has been known to be rather close to Richard and even more so Viktor if it's not their sibling they are speaking to. They also tend to exhibit motherly tendencies over Mephistopheles.
At first glance Katrice appears rather cold and blunt, speaking in an oddly alien accent and odd metaphors that only makes sense to them and, occasionally, Sabine. If exasperated, or attempting to keep secrets, they'll lapse into a strange tongue to speak to their brother, but otherwise their words are clipped, proper, sentences. Their facial expressions are odd and dull, and if one is not careful they could assume that Katrice had zoned out or is unsympathetic to people's problems.
Their origins are as curious as Sabine's, hailing from a realm and time not quite of this one. Katrice met Sabine whilst the two of them were out and about, and a vague sense of familiarity left the two of them permanently bonded. While Sabine is not sure of their homeland, Katrice assures them that they knew each other once upon a time. And Sabine believes them, as Katrice is a horrible liar.
Despite everything, their skills with animals and affections for creatures that aren't exactly furs are splendid. They take care and love on every single animal as if they were their own children (and really they feel Mephistopheles isn't very different from the animals, as rowdy as the hellhound is) and assures every one of them go to loving homes.
It's said that more often than not, however, most of their breeding projects go home with them. A lot of the animals in their stalls are permanent residents... Woops?
