Back in his day, Ark was an adventurous explorer of the world! There was no where he wouldn't go, and nothing he wouldn't try at least once (though he may have regretted trying kimchi).
His family encourage him to find a nice girl and settle down, and while it took longer than they expected, he did indeed settle down...just without the girl. For some reason, he just wasn't all that interested, and that's okay.
Now retired from exploring, Ark enjoys woodworking and walking around the neighborhood with his pet owly, Mango. If you ask him to help with a project, he's more than willing to help a neighbor out! Though he's not in it for the money, he wouldn't turn town a sweet morsel for his troubles.
