Corey grew up in a clan known as the hexwards, a clan of Corgi's dedicated to protecting people from the horrible curses that can fall upon folk due to the misuse of magic. To be a hexward one must be of the utmost physical and mental strength and so Corey trained day in and day out to harden his body and mind to protect him from anything that came his way. He spent many years protecting an elderly lady cursed with bad luck. Corey spent his late teens and early twenties living as the butt of a looney toons cartoon as he would protect her from the dangers and suffer them himself but when her time was up he was able to return peacefully to his clan.
