A bred and trained soldier for a tyrannical, money-obsessed company, Blake knows the ins and outs of battle. He sustained a gunshot wound to his arm for making a mistake in front of his officer.
However, Blake is not like the rest of his company. He is not a cruel, mindless soldier like they are. Instead, he is shy and reserved, though the bred love for murder still remains.
He climbed the ranks relatively fast, making it all the way up to the positiom of Captain before he was dishonourably discharged by means of a secret attempt to kill him by sending him down to Sornieth.
His travels across the badlands of Sornieth with only an assault rifle and a deployable turret and no medical supplies left him dragging himself up to the doorstep of the Binary Code half dead.
With intervention from Dr. Seregaer, Blake was rescued and restored to full health and a desire for vengeance.
...Not really. At this point he's just following Navire around and doing bounties.
Because of his size and young face, Blake is often teased for looking like a minor. He's way older than that of course - even legal to own a gun, but is always treated as 'the kid' of the group. He's incredibly shy and not a leader-type, as his decisions have often ended catastrophically. Instead, he'll gladly take the back seat of things.
While his eyes scream Shifting Expanse, the reality of it is that Blake was born on a space ship, in a fake "Lightning nest" - which was really a clinical bowl charged with electricity and poorly decorated to attempt to look like a Lightning nest.
He was born to be a soldier, though since no one really takes care of the breeding department, Blake didn't quite turn out as expected. Instead of the beefy, fierce warrior he was supposed to be, he ended up as a small and meek boy. Of course, that was solved with rigorous training and threats of death.
He was dishourably discharged by means of an attempted murder when he was sent to Sornieth to look for something. After he was taken in by the Binary Code, he developed an sibling-like relationship with Navire and has become a Vault Hunter himself.
