About
Lexa is, to put it simply, a bit of a mystery to her fellow villagers. She simply showed up one day with a pack full of herbs, reagents, and containers, claiming to be a traveling potionmaster who could make your wildest dreams come true. Her accent clearly identified her as having come from Dragonsmaw, as did her signature creation: A single Wickerbeast potion, frozen solid and rendered unuseable from the cold. Flintlock was wary of the traveller, knowing full well the show was likely a con act; however, Crimsonette ate her tale up, wishing desparately to learn her alchemical knowledge. Katarina sided with Flintlock, to a degree, but didn't hesitate to point out that Lexa's one potion was a rather rare one. Fliblock finally caved in, and paid for a "demonstration."
Lexa prepared her equipment and began to brew potions at a rapid-fire pace; However, when asked about creating the Wickerbeast potion, she always said she was "getting to it." When Lexa claimed to have made a Warrior's Elixir, Cory, exausted after a long day of work, asked to try it. When their tail turned (temporarily) blue, it was clear that most, if not all, of the potions Lexa had made were frauds. Flintlock demanded she craft a Wickerbeast potion or he'd take his money back, which Cory, embarrassed, would gladly back up with a little force.
"You see," she said, "I do know how to craft one- I couldn't afford one pre-crafted, I was never rich enough, even if they're worth less and less these days- but my herbs are all squished and frozen, so I can't use them anyways. Sorry!" Flintlock glared at the magpie, clearly peeved and seconds away from telling her to scram. Katarina, however, always a doctor, asked if she needed some medicine for her travels, seeing as she was both broke and unacclimated to Tiger's Eye Peak's weather. Lexa, surprised at this act of kindness, gladly took him up on the offer, to Flintlock's mild chagrin.
While Katarina prepared a basic medical supply pack for the traveler, Crimsonette incessantly questioned her on the contents and crafting of a Wickerbeast potion, eager to learn something new for her alchemical hobby. While Lexa genuinely did try to explain it- at least, after a while- it was clear to her that Crimsonette would need to get her hands on the recipe itself to learn the technique. Lexa was certain she could simply say this and finally take her leave- just as she had done in other towns, places more gullible than the mischievous Dragonsmaw. She lived a life for coin, hopping from one area to the next, racing her reputation to put on a show for a few FurCash. None of the others knew this, though- least of all Crimsonette, ever curious beyond caution. Lexa was touched by the snake's dedication and unfaltering faith in her, and grew more and more hesitant to leave those few days Katarina worked on her gifts.
