About
Abadon is the son of a Highborn Bloodelf. He was highly trained and inducted into a special Elite Force (Celestial Knights) charged with the protection of one of the Oldest Relics in existance, left over from the time of the Titans. He served loyally for many years, during which time he fell in love with a gentle Bloodelf called Liyness. They were married and she bore him a son and a daughter to love and cherish. When his children were 10 and 8 his proudest day came and he was promoted to Commander of the Celestial Knights. With the increase in funds he moved his family out of Silvermoon City, aware that there might at some point be those who would try and use them to get close to him and the Relic he protected with his life.
They settled in a small village and for several years were very happy, even though his duties required him to be away for long periods. However, in the fourth year trouble and strife hit the land. There was a uprising and civil disruption and although he sent a detatchment of special guards to protect his family when it reached thier village they could do nothing against the sheer numbers and were slain along with his family.
Grief stricken by the loss of his love and his children he threw himself into the study of the Relic he guarded that was supposed to hold such power. Finally stumbling across the information he was seeking he broke his vows to guard the Relic with his life and stole it from its sacred resting place. Travelling deep into the dark forests of the Plagued Lands he came to the stone circle mentioned in the ancient texts and tried to invoke the ritual he had found to resurect his wife and children. The relic stirred to life but too late Abadon realised his mistake. The demons trapped within the relic had tricked him, playing on his guilt, grief and despair. Howling forth they tore his soul from him, tourtured him and left him to rot.
He was returned to life by Arthas and served him for a time but as his memory returned so did his anguish and anger. Breaking free of his enslavement he now walks a dark and lonely path, his heart as cold and the frost he calls upon to aid his battle.
