Villager: Khatih

Khatih's family struggled with poverty all his life. Into adolescence, he survived as a thief. However, a job went wrong, forcing him to leave home. He drifted from place to place until stumbling upon the two women in charge of the Eastwater Refuge, Penelope and Moonbeam. Their hospitality and acceptance of him triggered his protective instinct, and were the final straw in convincing him he wanted to set down roots. Alongside Penelope, he explored and brought any findings back to Moonbeam.

When the women discovered Gero on their property and the man denied knowing how he got there, Khatih couldn't stand him. Khatih opened up about his less than stellar past to both Penelope and Moonbeam, and he distrusts Gero's secrecy. Though the two have gone on exploratory expeditions without Penelope as a buffer, Khatih struggles to connect with someone who is so secretive.

Recently, Khatih gave up the explorer lifestyle in order to remain at Eastwater Refuge and work as a doctor. The constant danger he, Penelope, and the rest of their friends wind up in called for a healer and, upon seeing the need and his friends hurt, Khatih decided he needed to take up the medical arts.
