The Mercy: The Windbags ain't the only beasts that drew a bad lot. The Calamity was more merciful to some beasts than others. These others deserve mercy of their own.
On the western outskirts of the city and on the edge of the forest sits a fenced off building, small animals peer through the holes and climb up the walls. Chirping and barking greet any passer-byes, Inside the noise grows louder, nests of fur, feather and hay are nestled along the walls, in rocks piled to make little caves, and nestled on bundles of sticks to create makeshift trees.
"Hiya, my name is Maari. I like to fly around the forest and make new friends, guess you're one of them now! This little guy is Boop! He comes with me on expeditions and bites at the baddies and snuggles with the goodies! I like to give people new friends, most underestimate the good a pet can do. Uh-oh! Hey don't fight you two! Gotta go!"
