About
Hönapöna hatched and grew up on a countryside farm, quite far away from any kind of civilazation. The farm wasn't a very great place, It was run by one very evil, sadistic and greedy person, that the hens simply reffered to as "The farmer".
The farmer never seemed to really care about the creatures working for them, they had less to no regard for the creatures safety, lives or living standards.
Hönapöna, just like all the other hens living at the farm, were never allowed to go outside, instead, they had to spend their entire lives cramped together in a small, dark, cold, factorylike structure, laying dozens upon dozens of eggs that The farmer, inevitably, took away from them, fertilized or unfertilized, didn't matter. Hens that stopped laying eggs due to stress, fatigue or old age, was brutally grabbed, thrown in a cage and then carried away by The farmer, never to be seen again.
The food that the farmer fed the hens was tasteless and the amount was bareley enough for the hens to survive on, the feeding station was an absolute warzone since all of them knew that it could take days before they get more. The tasteless feeding pellets as well as the water, was genetically enhanced to make the hens grow unaturally large and lay more eggs.
Illnesses spread like wildfire, the hens that got sick or died was neglected, left on the ground for days before The farmer even toticed and removed them. Some hens was so desperate for food that they started eating the rotting corpses.
Hönapöna whas about three years old when an animal rescue team broke trought the main door and started gathering the hens and placing them in different blacked out cages, not to stress them.
The first thing that Hönapöna saw of the outside world, was an open and warm area dressed in white.
It was a vetenarian clinic
Hönapöna was very weak when she arrived, she could barely stand up.
