Aegis, before coming to live with Blue and her crew, used to be a weaponry and shield merchant. Although this life brought them good money and praise, Aegis still felt unfulfilled. Finally, tired of this feeling, Aegis set out on a journey to find themself, or at least to find the reason behind the feeling.
While out searching, Aegis happened upon Castle, who was out in a nondescript field, rolling around on his back. To any other species, this might have looked funny, but to Aegis, who was in the same genus as Castle, this was a normal behavior, so she joined in. Although Castle was initially put off by them, he eventually began chatting with them, and then took them back to the house to introduce them to Blue. Now, the three are good friends, and Aegis doesn't feel that unfulfilled feeling anymore.
