New people around the village immediately note something about Rory: Despite his stern presence and blunt way of speaking, he has a soft heart. A wandering doctor who stopped in the village to mend a scraped knee, Rory decided to stay and study the local flora in order to improve himself. A very serious cat who takes himself very seriously, Rory seems almost incapable of speaking anything but plainly: He won't sugarcoat your prognosis one bit, but will keep himself up day and night to help you.
Compared to others, Rory comes off as a bit rigid, refusing to be anything but a doctor (his brief stint as an herbalist was only to study medicinal plants, he insists), but as a doctor he finds himself most comfortable. Rory often found himself struggling before his job, having trouble keeping up conversation and failing to catch jokes. But as a doctor, others treat him with a great deal of respect and furs expect him to be serious, an image he gladly keeps up with.
