You know, when you decided to walk along the beach looking for seashells, you didn't expect to see a pair of villagers cooking something in a pit dug into the sand, the top covered with palm leaves. Curious, you can't help but make your way over to them.

"Oh hello. Who are you?"

"My name is Wanderer, and this little one here is my son, Solace. Go on, Solace. Say hi."

Solace just looks mortified, and goes to hide behind his mother's wings. Wanderer chuckles, shaking her head.

"You'll have to forgive him, he's pretty shy."

"What am I doing? Trying out a new recipe. The people of Ouroboros cook in these leaf-covered pits for festivals, and were kind enough to show me a few things so I could try it out for myself. After all, a good cook never rests on her laurels."

Huh. Well, she is a souper star, and holding the mother of all spoons to boot. Maybe it isn't so surprising that that's her chosen profession.

"No, I'm simply visiting, just like you. I normally run a restaurant in Quetzal Palace, you see, but right now my son and I are here on vacation. It's called Heaven's Breath; you may have heard of it."

"Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on this, but it's a rather tricky thing to get right I'm told. I'm afraid I'll have to cut this conversation short - unless you want to help, that is."

Well...why not? What she's doing looks interesting, and whatever it is, it smells good, unfinished or not.

"Oh, good! I appreciate the help. Now, if you could raise the palm leaves covering the pit just a little bit; it's been fifteen minutes now, and I have to add these spices just so..."
