About
A bright and friendly young wolf, Veris takes his study as a smith with the utmost seriousness. He dreams of one day forging weapons capable of cleaving the heavens themselves, to grace the hands of heroes.
Orphaned as a pup, he was brought into House Duvari as a servant. It was not long before his wistful stares at the marching warriors--and more specifically, at their shimmering equipment--made it clear there was more to his potential, and an apprenticeship was arranged on condition that he accept no pay aside from lodgings and food.
He found his master, a grizzled old hound by name of Rivan, to be a stern and unforgiving taskmaster, yet one with reams of priceless experience for the giving to those willing to work towards earning its reveal. His first months were marked as errand boy, and he earned his first right of the hammer from countless, backbreaking, long hours hauling untempered steel and emptying the scalding and ashy water pits. Finally, he was permitted his change at the anvil.
Tho allowed to create nothing more gloried than horseshoes and scrapes at first, he soon earned the right to delve into the greater secrets of the art. Now, as journeyman, he has begun his work in earnest, studying the art of forging the implements of war. From basest dagger to blade of kings, he strives to master them all, and create honed beauty from rough ore, raging flame, and singing hammer.
