Penn is an otter that experiences an existential inquiry or crisis at least once a week. They tend to the gardens and enjoy keeping their hands busy in general in the belief that if their hands are busy then so is their mind.
But no. There's no quieting the wave of thoughts and questions and realizations this otter faces. Not unless they just tired themselves out from all that ceaseless thinking. Then their river of thoughts quiet down to a trickle and they can focus on one idea for a time.
Or until Citrus comes over to snap them out of it and reminds them to relax and that not everything needs to be addressed at once.
Penn is the clan's herbalist and can sometimes be heard talking to the plants they're raising. This otter has made it clear they are pretty superstitious as well.
In the future, Penn wants to be a jack of all trades so they can keep busy.
