Running into Dein, Naiyo and Ruux was a complete accident. You were exploring some caves with Teeko and stumbled into a warm, sunlit cavern. Odd that it was sunlit because it was, well, a cave. But there was a good in the roof that allowed the light to stream through and give the area a much warmer feel compared to the rest.
"Wow... haven't seen this kind of thing before." Teeko comments as he explores the section. It wasn't supremely big, perhaps the size of two or three bedrooms put together.
"Maybe someone lives here." You say, staying near the entrance instead.
"Probably, but they're not home right now." He gives you a cheeky grin. And then promptly trips over a dragon's tail. He scurries back to you immediately and watches as the dragon lifts it's head. No, not dragon, but serpent. Two serpents? Three?
It walks into the light and you realise it's not a dragon or a serpent, but a three-headed hydra. And they're all glaring at you.
"W-we were just passing through!" Teeko stammers in a panic and hides behind you.
"Just passing through, ey? Travelers never come this far in." The middle head hisses. The other pair give small nods, never taking their eyes off of you.
"We were just exploring." You're quick to defend yourself and the cowardly Teeko.
"Liars!" The first head growls, voice nearly turning to a roar.
Teeko shrinks further behind you. "Please don't eat us! We'll pay you!!"
Instantly, the hydra loses it's anger. "Pay us?" The middle head asks.
"With treasure?" The third head adds.
"Yep! Here!!" Teeko forks out a satchel of coins and a shiny goblet he picked up a few hours ago. The hydra sits and inspects the objects, occiaosnally glancing at each other as if to check it was okay.
"This... will suffice." The middle head confirms, using it's tap on to sweep the trinkets to the side. "We apologize for our aggression."
The third head nods. "We are never kind upon waking up."
"That's, um... That's okay." Teeko peels himself off of you and taps his paws together. "Sorry about bumping into you."
"That's quite alright!" The middle head smiles, showing off fiercely pointed fangs. "Ah, I will introduce us. I am Naiyo, and this is Dein and Ruux. You may use any name when referring to all three of us." It gestures to the first and third head, respectively.
"Cool. I'm Teeko, and this, uh, this is my friend."
Naiyo extends it's gets a closer look before chattering happily. "A pleasure to meet you! Care to join us for tea?"
Teeko looks at you before nodding. "Sure?"
