Briar is curious, observant, and always ready for an adventure. He is usually eager to help friends if and when they ask; however, due to his impulsive and naive nature this can often land him in danger when he bites off more than he can chew.
He has little regard for his own safety in this respect and has little sense of danger. Luckily, his love for animals keeps him busy at home tending to his career. Sometimes he can become hyperfocused on a task whether it be to do with his job or just doing his own thing such as reading or taking a walk- he can often be found lost in his own little world.
He is creative and loves to tell stories, making him popular with the younger villagers. Having been one of them not long ago, his youthful imagination gives him endless topics to tell tales about. There have been many times he has gone off on a tangent and accidentally frightened some of the very young- this along with his casually rebellious demeanour of "I do what I want when I want" makes some of the parents regard him as a bit of a troublemaker among the youths, however his intentions are just to entertain and have fun himself.
When he is upset or something is bothering him, he will either go to one of two extremes; he will lock himself up with his animals for as long as he feels he needs and isolate himself from those around him, or he will pretend everything is okay and appear overly-cheerful. This is one of the times his stubbornness is most prominent, much to the frustration of his friends.
