Wisp hummed along to a song as she strolled along the sidewalk, ignoring the strange looks that passerby gave her.
Maybe because her pelt was still covered with the blood of her latest kill? Or the scythe her tail was wrapped around?
Her phone buzzed in her pocket. Probably her girlfriend Mei, asking where she was. Wisp was supposed to have met her at one of their favorite coffee shops, along with her best friend Echo, but she had gotten caught up.
At least monsters shouldn't bother her now.
She arrived at the coffee shop, swinging open the glass door, hearing the little bell tinkle, announcing her presence.
"Wisp!" Her girlfriend barreled into her, holding Wisp close and knocking the breath out of her. "IwassoworriedIthoughtyouforgotaboutme."
"Nah." Wisp ruffled her fur. "I should probably go wash up though. Got attacked on the way here."
