About
Lorelei is a very kind but reserved pony. Her unwillingness to leave her pond doesn't allow for her to get much social experience, which makes her very reserved towards other ponies since she doesn't always know how to act. She loves jewelry and fancy gemstones, even wearing them as accessories.
Even if she looks and usually acts very regal, she also have a more feral side to her personality. Living in the forest, she doesn't care if she gets dirty or have to do a bit of hard work, but always makes sure at the end of the day to wash away the signs of the day and looking the best that she can. She adores the natural flora of her home and tends to it, trying to repair the damage the cold and ice did to her home and bring back as much life as possible.
However, her feral side gives her a very hard time when away from her home since she's used to do things whenever she wants to. Such things as waiting in line, paying for things or in general taking others into account when she wants to do things is very hard for her.
The company of others can easily make her sad and she usually feels very lonely if they don't understand her. She doesn't mind being alone, but she hates feeling left out and lonely.
Since she rarely leaves her pond she doesn’t get much information about how the outside world changes.
The language is the hardest part for her. She can handle the basics, but she's not really keeping up with the changes of the modern language. Considering she never spent enough time to master the language even as it was 200 years ago, her short visits to civilisation isn't enough to learn. It's especially hard with slang words, resulting in her not understanding much of what ponies today are saying.
This problem also goes the other way around, since many ponies haven't been around as long as her they are not familiar with the way she speaks.
However, her favorite thing to do is to lay down on the edge of the cliff at the end of the day and sing. She isn't really singing, but rather humming and taking simple notes. It's such a simple yet amazing experience for her, to use her voice and expressing her feelings without having to care for words or languages.
She cares about life and is always willing to help animals or other ponies, would the need arise. She smiles a lot and likes to laugh at the different shenanigans the animals around her pond does. Even if she have big problems with language, would a pony come by her pond she will always try her hardest to communicate with them. However, she doesn't really like to befriend normal ponies and prefer to only gets even remotely close to other Pond ponies.
She also prides herself on her memory regarding music. A simple song echoing over the river and she would remember it. This is also one of the main reasons she's willing to leave her pond, so she can pick up on new songs to pass the time with when she returns home.
She’s very calm and it’s very hard to make her angry. She’s got a very motherly approach when around others, but in reality she’s very childish.
