Yeah, hilts are slightly rare.

I've not tried durability potions yet. But as for hilts and elaborates. I havn't seen elaborates yet but I have a guess. As for normal hilts...uncommon enemies seem to carry them. If you use my tips you should find them easier to defeat, just pay attention to how much they hurt you and how much you can hurt them. My guess for elaborate is that the rarer monsters may drop those.

Some of our monsters are dark monsters, some of them are balance monsters..and rarely you'll have a light monster to fight!

Light monsters hate balance damage, balance monsters hate dark damage, and dark monsters hate light damage.

However our town gives us shields that are balance elemental..and dark monsters do more damage to us!

Finding shields and weapons from dragon's maw manor (the weapon is a fang club) will give you dark items. While the items from the palace in the sky (the weapon is a dragon tooth knife) will give you dark damage!

People often sell the club..but I havn't seen the knife on sale.
